I wants it. Bad. It’s $1000, it needs a speedo gear and the headlight wiring fixes, but l ook at it! LOOK AT IT!!!!
Damn it anyway, I have $800 sunk into that stupid Helix that still doesn’t work properly . If I buy this before I get rid of that Helix though , I will have to live in it.

Dooooooo it! My GL1100 is a silly fun bike. Speedo gear won’t be too hard to fix and the wiring isn’t too horrible, either. Certainly would be an easier project than the Helix lol.

Can’t until the Helix is gone. You’ve met my wife. She is wonderful, and while I am not a smart man ... I’m not that friggin’ dumb either!
Wanna buy a Helix? I’m willing to take a loss on it!

Yeah ever since Miss Mercedes got her GL1100 I’m hankering hard for an old Goldwing

After riding my GS850G in 25 degree weather I’ve realized that my Chuckus would be a terrible winter bike. A fter posting about that CF Moto and thinking about it I’d probably be happier with your Helix than the CF Moto. However, since I have no desire to actually have five bikes, I wanted to get rid of the Chuckus before I got the CF Moto/Helix.
Unfortunately for me, I can’t sell the Chuckus because it’s still muddy and in a barn somewhere near LaSalle. So since I just bought that two stroke, my budget’s like $300 right now. :/

There’s been this VF1100s for sale for a while that I’ve been drooling over despite not knowing how to ride a bike.

Such a pretty bike.

Buy now, learn later! That’s what I did with the Buell . That V65 would probably be a terrible first bike but those things are so cool that it would be a crime not to buy it lol.

Same! I’ve been prowling craigslist like I can afford another moto right now.

Yeah, those are really good looking bikes!

D you have to add in the cost of a divorce lawyer in the GL purchase price?

Oh jeebus! That’s an expensive bike then!

I would take the Chuckus as a partial trade.

If the headlight randomly quit, it's probably just a failed reserve lighting unit. Bypass it!

*Gasp!* Let me see if I can get in contact with the bloke that has my Chuckus.

Let’s figure something out. Once I rode Bill’s Helix, and realized I hated the riding position, I lost all interest in it.

Got in contact with the guy with my Chuckus. Haven’t yet found out if he changed the tyres yet.
I will note though, the drive cover no longer exists (I still have the kick start mechanism in the back of my car) and the air box got crushed, so I removed it and now the scooter is running a pod filter. Yay, drunk wrenching at the Gambler!
I also signed the title so I guess I need to get it transferred now. lol
I still have the original body panels should the scooter be returned to a more traditional look.

The air cleaner I don’t care about, but i s the drive cover gettable? I’m assuming it’s just a genaric GY6 part?
Yeah, you will need to get the title. I feel so stupid for spending the money on transferring the Helix’s title :)

Drive cover is a very generic part lol. I know a lot of Ruck owners roll without the cover and that was my original intention after I broke the original cover. My recommendation is to not use the Chinesium bolts that normally secure it on.
It also comes with a new clutch (old one appears to have a noisy pulley bearing).
I feel stupid for signing the title lol. I should know by now that I shouldn’t sign the title until I’m ready to register the thing.

Alrighty, so I may be getting the scoot back this weekend. :D Does your scoot still have its windscreen and all that? I think I’m going to take on the challenge.
![]() 11/01/2018 at 13:54 |

Cool! The windscreen and a few body panels have been removed, but I still have all the parts. You’ll want to polish or replace the screed before you install it, because it’s yellowed to the point that it’s pretty opaque.

Yay! And I guess how many monies do you want in addition to the Chuckus?
![]() 11/01/2018 at 15:48 |

I was thinking $450. I can wait until you can afford that if need be. It’s not listed for sale, and I haven’t even seen the thing since a few days afte r the Gambler.

Hmmmm...compelling. Yeah it would definitely take some time then. I was hoping to offload the Chuckus onto someone for about $400 but this would save me from dealing with silly people on Facebook. Thankfully I kept the body parts for the scoot, so aside from the lack of a drive cover and the existence of a pod filter everything can be reversed.

I’m not firm on that price. Wave some cash in front of me, and we can talk.
